Using the Database Backup option, you will be able to make a backup copy of all the data that you had entered in the system. If you regularly maintain backup copies of your database, you can use the backed up database, even if you lose the main database. To access the Database Backup screen, click on File > Database Backup in the main menu. The Database Utilities screen is displayed as shown below.

1. Click on the Backup Database button.

2. The message “Backup into C:\EasyInn\database\Backup is displayed. If you want to back the information in the same location suggested, click on the OK button. If you want to make a copy of the backup database in a different location, click on the Select Another Location button.

1. If you select the Select Another Location button, a message, "Please select and highlight the folder to back up files - Do not open the folder" appear. So, make sure that select the folder in which you want to back up, without double clicking on it. Then click on the Backup button.

2. After the backup is complete, the following message box appears.

To Restore from the Database Backup

Click on the Restore Database button. A message stating the files in the current location will be overwritten appears. If you want to restore backed up files, click on the OK button.

Note: This will overwrite the files in the current location.

After your data backup/restore is complete, click on the Ok button.
