Minimum Nights Restrictions

This screen lets you specify minimum length of stay for reservations at different times of the year. A warning will be displayed if you try to make a reservation for less than the days specified for busy times of the year. However, you will not be prevented from making a reservation.

For example, let us assume that April 1^st through April 15^th is busy season in your property. Lets say from April 1^st to April 15^th, you require a 3 day minimum. On making a reservation less than 3 nights, you may want to display a message to the effect that it is “Summer break! Busy season. Requires a 3 night minimum to reserve.”

Follow the steps below to create this restriction.

To set minimum nights restrictions

1. Click on the Add button.

2. Select the Unit Type for which you want to apply the restriction.

3. All the rooms belonging to the selected Unit Type are displayed.

4. Select the Room that you want to apply the restriction. To make the restriction applicable to all the rooms of the selected Unit Type, click on Apply to All Rooms (first item in the list) in the Select Unit Name list.

5. Enter the Minimum number of nights required for the reservation.

6. Enter the Restriction Start Date that you want the restriction to take effect.

7. Enter the Restriction End Date that you want to end the restriction.

8. Enter the message that you want to display when the requirements are met in the Minimum Nights Message text box.

9. Click on the Save button.

Delete Restriction

1. Select the restriction that you want to delete from table found in the lower portion of the screen.

2. Restriction information is displayed in all the corresponding text boxes.

3. Click on the Delete button.

4. A message box “Are you sure you want to delete this record” appears. Click on “Yes” if you are sure you want to delete this restriction. Click on “No” if you do not want to delete this restriction.
